Africa: new gate to globalization: yearbook - 2012

Another issue of the annual “African Studies” series is prepared by\r\nthe Russian scholars of Africa working at the Peoples’ Friendship University\r\nof Russia; the Institute of African Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, and\r\nthe Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, and is devoted\r\nto the problems of development, peace and stability on the continent of Africa\r\nin the conditions of globalization. The authors concentrate attention on Africa\r\nopening ever more widely to the world, the South African Republic joining the\r\nBRIC countries (Russia, Brazil, China, India), and the creation of the interregional free partnership BRICS as a new portal of globalization with the participation of Africa.
