"On pre-conditions and origins of sociological science" - (by Denis Podvoisky) examines the origins of sociology as an independent science. Raising questions about pre-requisites for emergence of sociology, author divides them into 'obfective' (social and historical) and 'subjective' - socio-cultural and intellectual. The sociological science could not have emerged as a special science in traditional society, so author, that is, sociology is a spiritual product of modernity to eventually, become a tool for its theoretical self-description and reflection. Describing the process of construing the field of sociological problems, author emphasizes a key concept of 'society'.
