Historical, political and socioculturalfeatures of the modern world development associatedwith polyethnicity, polyconfessionalism, migration andglobalization, as well as the lack of stable traditions inunderstanding basic humanistic ideas and the complexityof regulating the problems of statehood in the situation ofthe new cold war have always contributed to politicalinstability. This basis forms powerful prerequisites for thedevelopment of deviations of various kinds in society,which actualizes the development of information andcommunication and civil technologies in counteringpolitical extremism not only in Russia, but also in othercountries. Bringing to the fore the problem of the human factorand the anthropic nature of the image of language createdby linguistics led modern researchers to the need to studythe language in its real functioning as a transformed formof human activity in the course of its material, practicaland spiritual activities. The involvement of these factorsrequires the specification of the goals of the analysis andthe mathematical formalization of problem statements.The analysis of the discourse of the media and socialmedia is just that subject area where such formalization ispossible. This requires an interdisciplinary approachinvolving experts in the field of linguistics, sociology,cultural studies, psychology and digital humanities.
