The purpose of the article is to define the essence and principles of the concept of competitiveness, to consider possible ways of increasing the competitiveness of the automotive industry. According to statistical data, the automotive industry in Russia is experiencing a decline, the total sales volume in 2022 decreased by 1.4% compared to 2021. The main methods for improving the competitiveness of automotive companies are the implementation of various digital technologies, such as: unmanned driving, additive technologies, Big Data technologies, predictive analytics systems. As a result of the adaptation and implementation of these technologies, the car industry in Russia will reach a new level, the quality of cars will improve, the possibility of defects in production will be minimized, and it will save a lot of time, new and better cars will come out much faster, which in general will raise the prestige of AvtoVAZ both inside and outside the country.
