Complete uterine perforation, diagnosed in the distant period

A clinical case of complete uterine perforation, tamponade with the omentum, is presented. A thirty-years old woman, seven months ago a curettage of the uterine was performed, complicated by its complete perforation, which was not recognized on time. During all seven months, the patient was concerned about pelvic pains and constant uterine bleeding. The diagnosis was suspected during ultrasound and finally verified at the time of hysteroscopy. Laparoscopic metroplasty was performed. Conclusion: tamponade with the omentum of relatively large perforated hole prevented the development of serious complications – internal hemorrhage, ascending infection of the abdominal cavity organs. © 2020, Dynasty Publishing House.
