Influence of Moistness of Working Fluid on Delivery Coefficient of Reciprocating Compressor

The influence of moistness of the working fluid on the delivery coefficient of a reciprocating compressor is studied. It is shown that the delivery coefficient decreases by 30-40% with increase of moistness because of decrease in adiabatic index and increase in coefficient of heat transfer from the walls and intake pressure loss. © 2014 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
