The absorption spectra of an Ag hydrosol, Ag sol in ethanol, and Ag sol in heptane prepared by the radiochemical method in reverse micelles were analyzed in terms the Mie theory and the theory of resonance plasmon absorption. Compared to the other methods, the radiochemical method produces particles with a higher degree of surface defectiveness. During the adsorption of S2- ions on the particles of the Ag hydrosol and Ag sol in heptane, changes in the parameters of these particles were observed.
