Synthesis and study of 1,3,7-trimethylpurine-2,6-dione hydrogen dodecatungstenphosphate of composition (C8N4O 2H11)2HPW12O40

1,3,7-Trimethylpurine-2,6-dione hydrogen dodecatungstenphosphate (C 8N4O2H11)2HPW 12O40 (I) was synthesized. The compound was examined by chemical analysis, IR spectroscopy, X-ray phase analysis and thermogravimetry. The compound I was established to crystallize into monoclinic systems having parameters of elementary cell: a = 10.9129(75), b = 9.1346(70), c = 26.185(23) Å, β = 81.05(27), Z = 2, d calc = 4.35 g cm-3, V = 2578(4) Å3. © 2009 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
