ЮАР И РОССИЯ В БРИКС: СОТРУДНИЧЕСТВО В СФЕРЕ НАУКИ И ОБРАЗОВАНИЯ

Народная дипломатия - важнейший механизм налаживания межгосударственного сотрудничества. Когда-то в Советском Союзе именно с этой целью был создан Университет дружбы народов. Сотни его выпускников, разъехавшись по всему миру, не теряют связи с родным вузом и страной, где прошла их молодость. Российский университет дружбы народов продолжает работу в этом направлении, а главное, расширяет спектр своих контактов. На сегодняшний день в университете нет студентов из Южно-Африканской Республики, но так как именно ЮАР становится стратегическим партнером России в рамках БРИКС, экономический факультет РУДН принял решение о необходимости налаживания более тесных связей с этой страной через организацию первой студенческой научно-исследовательской экспедиции. Результатам данной экспедиции и посвящена статья.

Thr South Africa and Russia in BRICS: Cooperation and Education

People`s diplomacy is an important mechanism of establishment of interstate cooperation. It was precisely for this purpose that the Peoples' Friendship University has been founded in the Soviet Union. Hundreds of its graduates, now working in different places all over the world, maintain contacts with their Alma Mater and the country where they spent their young years. At present the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) continues its useful work and broadens its contacts. To date there are no students from the South African Republic, but inasmuch as the RSA is becoming a strategic partner of Russia within the BRICS framework, the economic department of the University has decided to establish closer ties with that country via organizing the first student research expedition. This article deseribes the results achieved by this expedition.
