En el artículo se analizan la importancia que tiene la educación para mejorar la competitividad de los recursos humanos, así como también la influencia de esta en el desarrollo económico del país. Se hace énfasis en las políticas socioeconómicas que esta utilizando el gobierno ecuatoriano para mejorar el nivel educativo de los ecuatorianos.
