In this paper, we propose a new consideration of solid amorphous carbon formed by atoms with sp2 electron configuration. The approach is based on the idea of the basic structural element of these solids, which is a graphene domain, or a framed graphene molecule. The discovered and repeatedly confirmed experimentally, graphene nature leads to a revolutionary revision of the theory, modeling and interpretation of the experiment relating to this class of solids. The report presents the highlights of this review.
