Linguistics Evidences of WE-Identity in Sinhala Language

This study is based on how linguistics Evidences of WE- Identity in Sinhala Language promotes collectivism in culture with reference to address forms, other colloquial features of language and folksongs. According to the website of hofstede-insights. com depicts that “A low score of 35 in this dimension means that Sri Lanka is considered a collectivistic society hofstede-insights. com (2020). Observations on social practices, customs and how it influences on linguistics shaping is deeply analyzed. Semi structured interviews, discussions are used as Primary sources. While books, Scientific scholarly works are referred as secondary sources. In addition to that blocks, websites and electronic publications are used as tertiary sources. This study proves that Sri Lanka is a collectivist society, and the very idea is verified by the colloquial discourse, address forms, and folksongs. Language is the part of culture and language promotes the culture.
