IMPACT OF THE PANDEMIC ON THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS OF INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call for action to end poverty, protect our planet, improve the quality of life and improve the prospects for all people around the world. These 17 Goals were adopted by all UN member states in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which sets out a 15-year plan to achieve them. The SDGs build on the partnership of all member countries to achieve these goals. However, the recent COVID-19 pandemic has radically changed the current state of global development. In this article, the author examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the SDGs in terms of both companies and consumer behavior. The author came to the conclusion that, despite the decline of economic indicators, there are also positive changes in terms of the activities of companies aimed at satisfying the new consumer needs formed in the context of the pandemic.
