Роль толкового словаря в переводе культурно маркированных единиц: к проблеме выбора лексикографического источника (на примере лексем смирение и смиренномудрие)

Статья посвящена изучению роли толковых словарей при переводе культурно маркированных единиц. На примере лексем смирение и смиренномудрие, важных для понимания языка А. П. Чехова, авторы показывают различия при использовании толковых словарей, относящихся к разным эпохам - «Толковому словарю живого великорусского языка» В. И. Даля и «Толковому словарю русского языка» С. И. Ожегова и Н. Ю. Шведовой.

Explanatory dictionary in the translation of culturally marked units: to the problem of choosing a lexicographic source (on the example of the lexemes humility and humbleness)

The article is devoted to the study of the role of the explanatory dictionaries in the translation of culturally marked units. On the example of lexemes humility and humbleness, which are important for understanding the language of A. P. Chekhov, the authors show the differences when using explanatory dictionaries belonging to different eras - “Explanatory Dictionary of the Living Great Russian Language” by V. I. Dahl and the «Explanatory Dictionary of the Russian Language» by S. I. Ozhegov and N. Yu. Shvedova.
