TEACHING RHETORIC TO FUTURE PREACHERS

The article examines the specifics of teaching rhetoric to future preachers in connection with the reform of theological education in Russia. Special attention is currently paid to rhetoric as the main discipline contributing to the development of skills necessary for young preachers to ensure the adherence of their audience. The course of rhetoric offered within the framework of theological education is aimed at enhancing future priests' rhetorical skills. This includes mastering the rhetorical canons, which, when intersected with the classical rhetoric triad, ensure production of logical, solid and persuasive discourse.
