FRAME-BASED MATERIALS IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING AND LEARNING
The paper deals with the issue of a foreign language teaching and learning. It discusses current issues regarding the optimization of these two processes. The paper analyzes both the process of a foreign language learning and the content of some Russian and English teaching materials from the frame theory angle with the aim to find the optimal ways to present lexical and grammatical information. The author considers foreign language learning as a process of modification of the learner's cognitive data base. The results of the research present a list of some optimal frame-based presentation forms of lexical-grammatical materials. The author sets out specific recommendations on frame-based teaching materials developing.
