The importance of intercultural component in Russian language teaching to foreign students

The article deals with the importance of intercultural component in Russian language teaching to foreign students, as it provides an opportunity not only to train authentic speech acts, but also contributes to successful intercultural communication, activates the processes of thinking, allowing to break the existing prejudices and stereotypes both in relation to their own and foreign language culture. The author emphasizes that language should be taught through culture, since any interaction with culture will be communication in the dialogue of cultures.
