В работе автор проанализировал международный опыт проведения переписей населения, что позволяет говорить онабирающей силе тенденции - отказе от традиционного метода переписей и переходе к электронным регистрам.

Comparison of Russian and international experience of conducting population censuses

The article is devoted to the comparative analysis of population censuses in Russia and abroad. The census of the population in different countries of the world has its own distinctive features, its methods in the preparation of the census, its methods of working with the population, tak ing into account national characteristics and traditions of society. The author analyzed the international experience of population censuses, which allows us to talk about the growing strength of the trend - the abandonment of the traditional method of censuses and the transition to electronic registers.
