Mythmaking in the activities of consciousness

Myth-making is deeply rooted in the activities of consciousness. From the standpoint of operating interpretations of thinking the universality of the myth can be explained by two patterns of activity of consciousness; first, the existence of a special phase of transition from the image to thought (and in phylo and ontogenesis), which is characterized by the fact that direct operations on a sensual way not yet complemented by operation over the relation of the object to the subject - in the everyday life there are many situations when the subject does not need (and often no interest) to make the result of knowledge of the amendments to the peculiarity of its position relative to the object; second, the universality of the myth generated by the fact that the cognitive functions of consciousness originally included personality structure - the same circumstance gives the myth features events personal-existential, unique phenomena of life. During the civilization process the personal semantic component of sensory-perceived level cognitive system is enriched, complicated, and diversified. Therein lie the origins of periodic roll forward of the historical "waves" of mythologizing and mysterization of culture, of the emergence of "spiritual centaurs" that combines logicrational and figuratively-mythological (for example, quasi-scientific mythology).
