Treatment of papulopustular rosacea with a submillisecond neodymium 1064-nm laser

To estimate the effectiveness and safety of monotherapy in patients with papulopustular rosacea using a subinfrared microimpulse neodymium 1064 nm laser. To find the effect on the intensity of diffuse erythema and telangiectasia, treatment of inflammatory pigmentation, swelling elimination, and disappearance of subjective sensations. 89 patients with papulopustular rosacea have been observed at the Clinic of Laser and Injection Cosmetology from June 11, 17 to August 20, 2018. Clinical outcomes were analyzed in patients who obtained therapy with a 2-week window using the method of comparison and grouping; total therapy course consisted of 6 procedures. Treatment resulted in decreased swelling and congestive erythema, significant reduction of papulopustular elements and decreased subjective sensations in all patients. 53 patients had complete regression of inflammatory elements. 21 subjects had more intense erythema and telangiectasia manifested after the inflammatory elements were resolved. Treatment of papulopustular rosacea with a submillisecond neodymium 1064 nm laser was safe and highly effective with no rehabilitation period. © 2019, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc..
