Ethno-oriented approach to the organization of Russian language learning by Chinese students at the pre-university stage using e-learning tools

The purpose of this article is to pay attention of trainers and practicing teachers to the need to create and use in the educational process ethno-oriented e-learning tools for the Russian language teaching in multicultural groups of pre-university classes in Russia. The relevance of the study is confirmed by the specificity of the target audience of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) and Russian universities in general. The paper identifies and describes the ethnopsychological characteristics of the Chinese with a view to be used in methodologies of teaching the Russian language in electronic format. The study involved three groups of Chinese students. In the first group, the Russian language was taught traditionally, without e-learning tools. In the second group, training was performed using e-learning tools without native language of students. In the third group, ethno-oriented e-learning tools were introduced taking into account students' native language. The success of learning was evaluated by two parameters: formed phonetic and grammar skills. The results of the study revealed that the formation and absorption of phonetic and grammar skills of Chinese students is more successful when the learning process involved ethno-oriented e-learning tools.
