Piecewise linear Lyapunov functions and the localization of spectrum of stable matrices

The relationship is found between the functions number of a piecewise linear Lyapunov function of an asymptotically stable linear stationary system with the characteristics of a region containing system matrix spectrum. The linear stationary system is described by a vector equation. The positively defined quadratic form is chosen as a Lyapunov function.
