In recent years, socio-demographic trends have led to a progressive increase in average life expectancy worldwide. As a result, the proportion of patients seeking medical help for menopausal disorders from obstetricians-gynecologists will grow. One of the most common postmenopausal conditions is genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM). Its main morphological manifestation is urogenital atrophy due to progressive hypoestrogenism. That is why strategies for maintaining women’s health and quality of life in the long term are particularly relevant in such a difficult period. This article reviews current local and international guidelines for the management of patients with GSM and assess/describes the immediate prospects. © 2025, Dynasty Publishing House.
