Comparative Analysis of Innovative Wet Granulation Technologies for Pharmaceutical Production (A Review)

Wet granulation is one of the most common technological processes in pharmaceutical production and has found its application in many industries. This literature review examines various wet granulation methods as well as innovative technologies used to optimize the granulation process. In particular, techniques such as granulation in high- and low-shear mixers, fluidized bed granulation, extrusion spheronization, spray drying, melt granulation, moisture-activated granulation, thermal adhesive granulation, and foam granulation are described. Special cases of using these technologies are presented.
