This chapter aims to determine the role of Russia in the formation of the Non-West as one of the poles of the new world order. In order to achieve the goal, the following tasks have been set: to analyze the concept and definition of the “Non-Western world,” to compare Western and Non-Western approaches to defining the world order and peacekeeping, to define a vision of the future of the world political system and the world economy in the Non-Western model, and to estimate a Russia’s role in the modern system of international relations and practical steps to establish leadership in the Non-Western world. The chapter also examines both the prospect of confrontation between the West and the Non-West and the possibilities of a cooperative model of interaction. The authors use a comparative analysis method, content and event analysis, a forecasting method, a system approach, a method of situational analysis, and a method of analyzing the current situation. The chapter is based on Russian and foreign sources and a wide range of analytical materials.
