The pragmatic-cultural phraseology: zoomorphisms in Spanish and Russian; [La fraseología pragmático-cultural: los zoomorfismos en español y ruso]

In recent decades we have witnessed a remarkable proliferation in studies belonging to the phraseological field. In this cognitive research, a case study is carried out in the Spanish-Russian combinatorics of a plot, until now, little studied, such as zoomorphisms. Likewise, the research focuses not only on the semantic aspects of phraseological units but also on the pragmatic-cultural component, which plays a vital role in discourse. To carry out the contrastive analysis, 20 native Russian-speaking master’s students with a linguistic profile were interviewed. The research was carried out through a proposed exercise to counteract and analyze the phraseological iconicity of the phraseological units. Starting from the cultural importance that the phraseology of any language has, this work is concluded by referring to the importance of the metaphorical meaning within a specific cultural environment. © 2022 Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia.
