Periprosthetic infection is one of the rare complications after hip arthroplasty. Fungi are even rarer causative agents of this pathology. Periprosthetic infection of this etiology is extremely rare in practice, and little described in the literature. Objective - to improve treatment results of patients with periprosthetic infection of fungal etiology. Materials and methods. We present a literature review devoted to the treatment of fungal periprosthetic infection and describe a clinical case of treatment of a patient with periprosthetic infection of fungal etiology using the method of two-stage revision endoprosthesis. Results. In the described case at this postoperative period, the patient showed remission of the infectious process; the patient can move without additional support and can independently move on his private transport. Conclusion. To date, two-stage revision arthroplasty with peri-stage drug treatment using antifungal agents selected according to pathogen sensitivity is the most effective method of periprosthetic infection treatment of fungal etiology along with other surgical treatment options. © 2022 The Charity Fund of Clinical Center of Miners' Health Protection.
