This article aims to summarize the experience of European and Russian scientists on the issue of a university student’s autonomous educational activity. The issue is undoubtedly relevant, since the modern educational model is based on the principles of personal responsibility for the content and quality of one’s education and implies the student’s competence in planning, organizing and managing his/her educational activities not only during the period of study, but throughout his/her life (Lifelong learning). The article describes the experiential training of second-year students at RUDN University. Its results and conclusions showed the effectiveness of e-courses on the MOODLE platform in building the student’s learning autonomy.
