The article examines the dynamics of the processes of digital technologies integration into the economy and social sphere in Latin American countries. Despite certain advances in the development of digital infrastructure elements and ensuring the growing coverage of the population with broadband access via mobile or fixed connections, most LCA states remain completely dependent on extra regional technology leaders. Brazil, as the largest country in the region, is already implementing programs to ensure its own technological leadership in the most promising technologies. However, other countries require technology transfer mechanisms and the creation of their own elements of critical digital infrastructure. Russian IT companies are able to effectively respond to this request by offering various forms of joint development, which will provide a certain competitive advantage over suppliers from the United States and China. © 2022.
