The paper considers the possibilities of the practical implementation of multi-element antenna systems of spacecraft radio data transmission antennas. The most important requirements for radio lines are a high energy potential, a large amount of information, and a high data transfer rate. The characteristics of the currently used antennas do not meet the above requirements. Therefore, the need to build multi-element antenna systems with two-dimensional mechanical scanning or with a specially shaped beam pattern and one-dimensional mechanical scanning arose. For this purpose, various options for synthesizing the directional characteristics of a special form were considered, as well as the possibilities for the practical implementation of such antenna systems. The effect of technological errors on directional, frequency, and polarization characteristics was analyzed. The tolerances for manufacturing the antenna array element were determined. © 2022 IEEE.
