TWO-DIMENSIONAL Cu(II) 5-IODOISOPHTHALATE WITH A 1,2-BIS(4-PYRIDYL)ETHYLENE LINKER: CRYSTAL STRUCTURE AND FEATURES OF ELECTRONIC STRUCTURE

Two-dimensional coordination polymer {[Cu(5-I-ipa)(bpen)]} (<b>1</b>) (5-I-ipa = 5-iodoisophthalate, bpen = 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene) is synthesized by the solvothermal method. The structure of <b>1</b> is studied by X-ray diffraction. The electrostatic potential on iodine atoms is estimated from quantum chemical calculations. For the structure of <b>1</b> the Hirshfeld analysis is carried out.</p><div class="c-article-section__figure" data-test="figure" data-container-section="figure"><figure><div class="c-article-section__figure-content"><div class="c-article-section__figure-item"><picture><source type="image/webp" srcset="//media.springernature.com/lw685/springer-static/image/art%3A10.1134%2FS0022476623010079/MediaObjects/10947_2023_2521_Figa_HTML.png?as=webp"><img src="//media.springernature.com/lw685/springer-static/image/art%3A10.1134%2FS0022476623010079/MediaObjects/10947_2023_2521_Figa_HTML.png" alt="" loading="lazy" width="476" height="292"></picture></div></div></figure></div>
