SWAG technology: A unique solution to actual problems, directions of technology development

The article provides an estimate of the oil displacement coefficients of oil fields in various countries. The relevance of the choice of the method of enhanced oil recovery, taking into account the conditions of a particular field, isshown. It is proposed to use simultaneous water and gas (SWAG) technology with the addition of associated petroleum gas (APG) by pumping water-gas mixtures with pump-ejector systems. A brief review of studies of the characteristics of ejectors and methods for their calculation, as well as ejectors as part of pump-ejector systems, is given. The ways of developing the SWAG Technology are described, which include both improving the technical capabilities of implementing the method, studying technologies for suppressing the coalescence of gas bubbles in order to increase the stability of the mixture, studying the properties of water-gas mixtures depending on their component composition and the influence of the composition of the mixture on the pressure and energy characteristics of the equipment used. Various options for the use of gases of various compositions (both technical characteristics and practical value of each SWAG method) are analyzed. An alternative method of implementing the technology is proposed in the case when adding another component to APG is technically impossible. The results of the studies carried out make it possible to expand the scope of application of the SWAG technology.
