Digital Component in the Translator’s Competence: Experience in Post-COVID-19 Era

The paper aims to identify those components that have been highlighted within the concept of the technology competence as part of the comprehensive translator’s due to the new normal reality of remote teaching and working during the pandemic period of COVID-19. The methodology rests on theoretical analysis of the relevant literature. The materials included academic papers form the Google database. The research findings discovered the latest academic trends regarding the digital issues in the university-based translator’s training and specified those items that should be revisited in the university curriculum related to the translator’s competence regarding its digital component.

Цель исследования - выявить составляющие переводческой компетенции с учетом появления новых дистанционных форм обучения и работы в период пандемии COVID-19, которые стали неотъемлемой частью технологической компетенции переводчика. Методология исследования основана на теоретическом анализе соответствующей литературы, в том числе научных статьей из базы данных Google. В результаты исследования были выявлены последние академические тенденции в отношении цифровых проблем в обучении переводчиков в университетах и определены те элементы, которые следует пересмотреть в университетской учебной программе, связанные с цифровым компонентом компетенции переводчика.
