ФОРСАЙТ-СЕССИЯ "ПЕРЕВОДЧИК 2040"

Рассматриваются результаты второй форсайт-сессии «Переводчик 2040», организованной Школой дидактики перевода. В начале форсайт-сессии эксперты рассмотрели прогнозы первой сессии по развитию переводческой отрасли, прошедшей 4 года назад. Они отметили появление всё большего количества программ для поддержки перевода, появление удаленного устного перевода (синхронного и последовательного), рост доверия к автоматизированному переводу, который сейчас активно используется, хотя и остается на рассмотрении вопрос его качества. Были реализованы многие из предложенных на первой форсайт-сессии форматов, технологий, нормативных актов: разработан и утвержден профессиональный стандарт «Специалист в области перевода», появились различные курсы по коммерческим основам перевода, развивается портал сохранения и передачи исследований в области перевода, созданы Ассоциация преподавателей перевода и Ассоциация переводческих компаний и т.д. На второй сессии были выделены и проанализированы основные тренды развития переводческой отрасли до 2040 года: необходимость соответствия переводческой отрасли целям устойчивого развития, развитие искусственного интеллекта и появление нового функционала переводчика, образ будущего профессии переводчика, изменение номенклатуры популярных языков в переводческой деятельности и др. Самая неприятная угроза, которую обсуждали эксперты форсайт-сессии и искали возможные пути её избежать, это - «исключение человека из коммуникации людей» и «создание принципиально нового интерфейса-робота без человека». Эксперты также высказали ряд идей и предложений о совместных проектах различных переводческих союзов, ассоциаций, компаний, которые помогут выжить и развиваться профессии переводчика, которая будет приобретать междисциплинарный характер, новый функционал, оставаясь связующим звеном в межкультурной и межотраслевой коммуникации. Проведенная сессия показала, что анализ основных трендов развития переводческой отрасли в ближайшее десятилетие обусловливает необходимость введения фактора будущего и в процесс подготовки переводчиков, переосмысления оснований процесса обучения, вектор которых должен быть направлен к будущему, что позволит формировать профессиональную компетентность переводчика, опираясь на прошлое, настоящее и будущее переводческой отрасли. Предвидение возможных изменений в переводческой индустрии и необходимость формирования профессиональной компетентности переводчика у студентов, которые выйдут на рынок труда через 4-6 лет, ставят перед преподавателями вузов новую задачу - научить выпускников адаптироваться к новым условиям.

The article examines the results of the second foresight session "Translator 2040" organized by the School of Translation Didactics (Moscow). At the beginning of the foresight session, the experts reviewed the forecasts of the first session on the development of the translation industry, which took place 4 years ago. They noted the emergence of an increasing number of programs to support translation, the rise of remote interpretation (simultaneous and consecutive), the growth of confidence in automated translation, which is now actively used, although the issue of its quality stays acute. Many of the formats, technologies, and regulations proposed at the first foresight session were implemented: the professional standard “Specialist in the field of translation” was developed and approved, various courses on the commercial basics of translation appeared, a portal for the preservation and transfer of research in the field of translation was developed, the Association of Translation Teachers and the Association of Translation Companies, etc. At the second session, the main trends in the development of the translation industry until 2040 were highlighted and analyzed: the need for the translation industry to meet the goals of sustainable development, the development of artificial intelligence and the emergence of new translator functionality, the image of the future of the translator's profession, changes in the nomenclature of popular languages in translation, etc. The threat discussed by the foresight session experts and looking for possible ways to avoid it is “excluding a human from human communication” and “creating a fundamentally new robot interface without a human”. The experts also expressed a number of ideas and joint projects of various translation unions, associations, companies that will help the translation profession to survive and develop, which will acquire an interdisciplinary nature, new functionality, remaining a link in intercultural and interdisciplinary communication. The session showed that the analysis of the main trends in the development of the translation industry in the next decade necessitates the introduction of the factor of the future in the process of training translators, rethinking the foundations of the learning process, the vector of which should be directed towards the future, which will allow to form the professional competence of the translator, relying on the past, the present and the future of the translation industry. Foreseeing possible changes in the translation industry and the need to form the professional competence of a translator among students who will enter the labor market in 4-6 years set new tasks for university teachers - to teach graduates to adapt to new conditions.
