THE ASSESSMENT OF ECOLOGICAL CHANGES IN THE OKHOTSK SEA ON THE NORTHEASTERN SHELF OF SAKHALIN ISLAND AS A RESULT OF OIL AND GAS COMPLEX CONSTRUCTION

The purpose of the article is to assess the impact of the construction of an oil and gas industry facility on the chemical composition of sea waters, bottom sediments and hydrobionts. The study was carried out by hydrochemical, geochemical and hydrobiological methods, as well as using comparative data analysis. It was found that the construction of the drilling rig has an impact mainly on planktonic organisms. In addition, some recommendations are given to reduce the negative impact of construction.
