HORSE PROVERBS IN GREEK PAREMIOLOGY AND THEIR ENGLISH TRANSLATION equivalents

The purpose of the research is to examine proverbs and adages with zoonymic components in the Greek language and to identify their English translation equivalents. To accomplish these goals, the following tasks were set: to identify the purpose of these phraseological units; to pinpoint their equivalents in the English language. The outlined tasks required the use of comparative linguistic analysis on these units in the English and Greek languages.
