EFFECTS OF THE PANDEMIC ON ONLINE CONSUMER BUYING BEHAVIOR. E-COMMERCE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

The purpose of this work was to analyze and evaluate consumer behavior in the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic. The main non-price determinants of supply and demand are considered. The hypothesis has been formulated and proved that the Covid19 pandemic has become a new non-price factor in modern conditions, having a double impact - an impact on both demand and supply of goods and services. The results demonstrated that the e-commerce has been increased significantly during the pandemic for consumers. Each order has an individual box, product packaging, and delivery route. Waste and environmental impacts of these low-volume online orders, which surged during the coronavirus pandemic, add up in comparison to the high-volume retail supply chain. © 2022.
