PERFORMANCE FEATURES OF SPECIALIZED VOCABULARY IN THE LANGUAGE OF MODERN MASS MEDIA (BASED ON THE FRENCH AND ITALIAN MATERIAL)

Reference to specialized vocabulary is topical and timely today due to its wide range implementation in mass media. Specialized vocabulary is regularly used in context diversity and is experiencing intensive development. Once into the information environment, the term stops functioning only in highly technical context. This influences the terminological essence of the special unit and implies emerging of new regularities of the term functioning. The objective of this article is to consider structural-semantic and functional peculiarities of specialized vocabulary in the French language and Italian printed media. The authors conclude that the appropriate teaching methods of working with specialized vocabulary are becoming essential at foreign language lessons. Despite the fact that reading and complete realization of the mass media message is possible only at the advanced stage of studying (B1-B2 according to the European scale), it makes sense to develop the linguistic response at the initial stage of teaching. While reading authentic texts and doing comprehensive tasks we can suggest that students should pay attention to the contextual use of some words, draw parallels with the mother tongue, reveal stylistic implementation of the vocabulary and the author's intention.
