CULTURAL LINGUISTICS AND INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

The article deals with pragmatic aspects of intercultural communication and linguoculturology (cultural linguistics) as basic disciplines in foreign language education. Following the concepts of linguistic personality and theory of cultural linguistics, the author develops the idea of cultural adaptation combined with cultural awareness based on systematic study of language, history and social practice of communicative situations in order to realise skills of intercultural communication.
