THE BASICS OF RESEARCH: TO BE OR NOT TO BE?
Scientific research in nursing, as in any other scientific discipline, is a method of obtaining reliable scientific data to carry out and improve professional activities. Scientific research is a mechanism for creating an enabling environment. However, before research can be conducted, it is necessary to build the staff capacity to conduct it in nursing and multidisciplinary scientific research. Therefore, it is important that professional nursing education be based on evidence-based medicine. The disciplines devoted to research training should be compulsory.
