Renewal of education in Russia in the 17th-18th centuries

The article examines the development of pedagogical science and education during the 17th-18th centuries. The article examines the state of education on the eve of the reforms of Peter I and his activities to create a system of professional education. The article analyzes the reforms of Catherine II, which created the preconditions for the transition to mass education.
