Structure and Spectral Properties of Complexes of Ln(NO3)3 with Amidopyrine

New complexes of gadolinium, holmium, and erbium nitrates with amidopyrine of the general formula [Ln(H2O)(NO3)3(C13H 17N3O)2] · CH3CN were isolated from acetonitrile solutions. All compounds were characterized by IR spectroscopy and chemical analysis, and their X-ray crystal structure was determined. Spectral and structural changes in the ligand that occurred upon coordination are discussed.
