Synthesis of the First Dithiaaza-17-Crown-5 Ethers Containing Piperidin-4-One Subunit

[Figure not available: see fulltext.] Dithiaaza-17-crown-5 ethers containing piperidin-4-one subunit and dithiacrown ether fragment were synthesized in one-pot Petrenko–Kritschenko reaction from 2,2'-[ethane-1,2-diylbis(oxyethane-2,1-diylsulfanediyl)]dibenzaldehyde, methyl ethyl ketone or dibenzyl ketone, and ammonium acetate. Molecular structure of dithiaaza-17-crown-5 ethers were confirmed by NMR, HRMS, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. © 2021, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.
