NETWORK UNIVERSITY OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF INDEPENDENT STATES

The article is devoted to the development of cooperation in the field of education among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the establishment of a CIS Networking University among their leading universities whose goal is to create a unified educational space and develop academic mobility for students and teachers. After the collapse of the USSR and the formation in its place of the CIS, the interaction in the educational sphere between the member countries of the Union was uneven and for many years was in a state of crisis. However, the intensifying political and economic interaction between the sides gradually led to the beginning of reintegration processes in the social, humanitarian and educational spheres, the key direction of which was interuniversity cooperation. The Network University of the CIS has united 28 leading universities from 9 member-states of the Commonwealth, in a structural and functional plan, becoming the basis for the preservation and development of cooperation that existed in Soviet times for a number of advanced scientific research and development. The article analyzes the ground of the development covered by the University and notes that, due to the difference in the national educational strategies of the CIS countries, interuniversity cooperation within the framework of the University, especially towards the creation of unified standardized educational programs, is inconsistent. This impedes the implementation of key educational projects and impedes the creation of a full-scale network university, while the existing achievements in the creation of a single information and analytical and scientific research infrastructure of the University, as well as the successful functioning of a number of post-graduate education programs have confirmed the system effectively perform tasks abilities. In the authors' opinion, the CIS Network University also has an important humanitarian mission to promote intercultural dialogue and counter the spread of nationalist and radical ideas in the student community.
