Effect of modifying silver by halogens on the ratio between different adsorbed oxygen forms in the presence of ethylene and propylene

The modification of silver surface with halogens changed the ratio between strongly and reversibly adsorbed oxygen and influenced adsorption of ethylene and propylene. Similar treatment of the surface of a silver membrane catalyst increased its oxygen permeability and the rate of the formation of deep ethylene oxidation products.
