Smart Technologies in the Modern Economy

The article is devoted to the application of smart technologies in modern society and the impact of such technologies on the state and architecture of modern economy. As a value expression of all processes taking place in society, economy embraces almost all its sides. The application of smart technologies should make it possible to solve both the tasks of optimizing the state economy and providing its citizens with a comfortable and safe ecosystem. The most demanded, and therefore the most developed, directions of introduction of artificial intelligence is the system of rendering public services – electronic government, and financial sphere. Smart technologies are used both in tourism and real estate market. Currently, such complex intellectual systems as energy systems have been developed and are in use. In the study, a special emphasis is put on the development of the payment system. The paper presents the results of the analysis of credit cards issuance dynamics by types, which showed the growth in the number of bank cards. The analysis also showed growth of operations performed with bank cards, especially in recent years. A detailed description of transactions made with the use of bank cards is given. On the whole the study revealed technological capacity and consumers’ readiness to switch to a digital platform of a “people-oriented” economy. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
