TRAINING LECTURERS TO USE ONLINE COURSES AND COMPUTER TESTS IN THEIR WORK

The article discusses the challenges faced by many teachers: 1) constant necessity to improve their skills in using modern information technologies; 2) to master new forms, methods and e-learning environments; 3) to work effectively with computer testing tools to assess students' progress. The authors of the article describe their course "Online Learning and Computer-based Tests in Moodie" developed in the RUDN University to provide professional development for teachers on three topics: 1) new types of learning, innovative teaching methods, modern e-learning environments and global education platforms; 2) online learning, massive open online courses (MOOCs), the advantages and disadvantages for the university to have its own local online courses in combination with educational integrating projects and computer testing, distance learning, blended learning in Moodie; 3) evaluation of educational achievements of students, computer testing, statistical analysis of test results and quality in Moodie.
