Parathyroid adenoma recurrence during pregnancy

Primary hyperparathyroidism results from parathyroid hyperfunction as a consequence of parathyroid adenoma. Parathyroid adenoma is a benign tumor of the parathyroid glands. To date, the cause of the parathyroid adenoma is unknown. Parathyroid hormone overproduction causes calcium imbalance, which is manifested by such complications as kidney stones, vomiting, abdominal pain, myalgia, pain in bones and joints, etc. In our work, we described a case of parathyroid adenoma recurrence in conjunction with pregnancy. © RJPT All right reserved.
