On the Coherent Elastic Scattering of Polarized Leptons by Half-Integer Spin Nuclei

Abstract: In the framework of the Rarita–Schwinger formalism, a description is given of the wave functions, as well as the matrix elements of the electromagnetic and weak neutral currents of the nuclei of half-integer spin. Multipole decompositions of the matrix elements of these currents are constructed in the Breit reference frame. In the approximation of the effective electroweak current of the nucleus, the corresponding differential scattering cross sections of longitudinally polarized leptons are obtained. © 2020, Allerton Press, Inc.
