Titrimetric determination of primary, secondary, and tertiary amino groups in amine epoxy hardeners

Procedures are proposed for the determination of primary, secondary, and tertiary amino groups in polyethylenepolyamine. In these procedures, the products that formed in the reaction of polyethylenepolyamine with acetic and maleic anhydrides in a mixture of water and an organic solvent are titrated with an aqueous solution of an acid using the potentiometric or visual detection of the titration end-point. The procedure does not require prolonged heating of the reagents at the stage of sample preparation; pyridine and acetic acid are not used in the analysis. © 1998 MAEe cyrillic signK Hayκa/Interperiodica Publishing.
